Under their Informatics Practices subject project, students of class XII have designed a smart phone application on Mody School. Principal Ma'am launched ModySchoolApp. The App will keep the parents updated about the happenings of Mody School and will keep them connected with the Principal, teachers and wardens. The app can be downloaded from the school website (www.modyschool.ac.in) or by scanning the QR-Code.

The app can be downloaded from the school website (www.modyschool.ac.in) or by scanning the QR-Code. Children Day was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm. Teachers held the morning assembly participating as students. In the evening a cultural event was presented by teachers departement wise. Deptt. of English presented a song, Hindi/Sanskrit teachers presented dances, Maths deptt. teachers presented "Kavi Sammelan", Science teachers presented a mime, Social Science dept presented a fashion show, Computer Science Deptt. presented "Musical Melody", Physical Edu. Dept presented songs. Music / Dance and Art & Craft deptt. presented Musical Skit. Ma'am Principal presented Dance performance. Maths Inter house activity was conducted on the topic ‘our Mathematicians’ where some Indian mathematicians were presented by students. Gargi and Kasturba houses were allotted the mathematicians Brahmagupta and Shakuntla Devi. Leelawati and Sarojini presented on Aryabhatt and Ramanujan respectively. Students shared information about their life history, their contribution in Mathematics and other fields like science and astronomy. This enlightened students about the glory of the great Indian mathematicians of the past and their valuable contribution to the world. Leelawati House got the first position, Gargi second, kasturba third and Kasturba stood fourth. An inter-disciplinary activity "Maths in Nature" was held in classroom. Students prepared presentation on the given below topic and presented the same in the class room: 1. Symmetry in Nature 2. Polygon in Nature 3. Fractal Numbers 4. Fibonacci Series (Golden Ratio) Leelwati and Kasturba House collectively stood First, Gargi stood third and Sarojini stood fourth. 8 Students of Class VIII (2 from each house) participated in "Kavya Paath" Competition. Students presented poems on Laughter, current affairs, Patriotism etc.
Gargi House stood First, Kasturba Second and Third position was shared by Leelawati and Sarojini Houses. Individually First position was shared by Sheetal Kajla and Falguni and Third position went to Shreya Sharma. Role Play competition was conducted on 10th November for the students of class III. The departement of English, Hindi and EVS were involved in this activity. It was an inter-disciplinary activity and the students were guided by their subject teachers. The students played the role of different characters such as Kiran Bedi, Mother Teresa, Enid Blyton, Sarojini Naidu, Fairy, Princess, Mickey-Mouse etc. The students spoke both in English and Hindi. It was an excellent show put up by the students and everybody enjoyed it. Ridhi Sharma scored First position, Aradhya Raina got second position and Diksha Gupta scored third position. |
