Krishna is a unique character in Hindu mythology. He was naughty in his childhood days and later proved to be a philosopher. The celebrations started with devotional bhajans. A brief summary of the life of Krishna was given by students. Students performed dances. The final event was the much sought-after Dahi Handi. The children enjoyed every second of the experience of forming a human pyramid with the sole intension of breaking the hanging pot in the midst of their friends and teachers, Vice Principal and the Principal. We can see why children relate to Krishna’s youthful and mischievous activities, and the reason why they particularly enjoy Janmashtami. |
