Inter-house Hindi Extempore Competition was held today for class 9th. Eight students (two from each house) participated in the competition. The chits were picked on the spot and they delivered their views on the topics. First position was secured by Gargi House and second by Leelawati house. Mr. Ankit Agarwal and Mr. Prosanjit Dutta from NIIT Gurgaon conducted an Evangelizing session on Microsoft Tools and Techniques titled "Teach and Technology" for teachers.
A foreign language quiz was held today for Class VII. Each house had three participants with German, Japanese & French languages. They presented the countries with their various aspects wiz Monuments, languages, food, greetings, leaders etc.
Kasturba House stood 1st and Sarojini stood 2nd. The idol of Goddess Durga was installed amidst chanting of ancient shlokas from the scriptures on the first day of the nine day festival. Students and members of the staff attended the ceremony, after which 'prasad' was distributed among all. Inter-house French Collage Competition was held today for class VI. Each house was given a topic on France (Festival, Food, Fashion, Monuments). Students prepared beautiful collage on the given topics and explained the same before the audience and judges. Leelawati house secured the first position. Mathematics science and art-craft departments collaborated an inter house activity for class V titled as 'Quick Pick', where students made beautiful posters using geometrical shapes on the given topics related to environment. They have also counted and sorted shapes and showed the information through bar graphs. Through this activity students not only learned about some current environment problems like pollution and deforestation but also realized real life application of data handling in a very creative and interesting manner. Leelawati House stood first and second position was shared by Kasturba and Sarojini House. In this activity of class III, tiny tots came wearing fancy dress representing famous personalities / professions like Indira Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth, Lata Mangeskhkar, Chef, Teacher, Beautician, Fashion Designer, Angel etc. First position was shared by Gargi and Leelawati House. Ridhi Bajpai stood first, Raksha Pujari stood Second and Third position was shared by Samridhi Singh Chouhan and Rishita Jhakhoria. Ma’am Renu Sehgal- Principal, Mody School and Ms. Marvin Choudhary along with four students of class XII - Ms. Meghna Das, Ms. Paridhi Singhania, Ms. Prachi Jaiswal and Ms. Shivani Rathi went to Singapore to participate in International Round Square Conference from 02nd – 08th Oct 2015. Mody School has been ranked the top 8th Girls' Boarding School in the country and the 2nd in Rajasthan by Education World in its annual ranking of the best schools of the nation! This was a moment of pride and elation, for the position brings with it recognition on large scale besides acknowledging the vision and ideals of its founder in a very tangible way.
39 students took the Belt Test, out of which 19 took the Yellow belt Test, 10-the Purple Belt Exam, 5- Green, 2- Brown and 3 the Black Belt Test. The results would be declared in November 2015.
