Meerabai's passionate adoration of Lord Krishna is known to all. Students put up a wonderful display on the life and times of the great Saint of Mewar. Soulful bhajans, written by meerabai herself, were sung with equal fervor while an extremely well-choreographed dance sent the audience into raptures. Earlier, Shreya Sharma of Class IX, spoke on the special aura of this renowned worshipper of Krishna.
The students of French celebrated the French Republic Day on 14th July under the guidnace of Ms. Vandana Mehra, their french teacher. The Stage blazed with the blue, red and white of the country's flag. The girls sang a French song, performed a dance and staged a skit to mark the event. An activity on Science & Maths, "Physics in our Daily Life" for Class VIII was held today. Students of all four houses plotted graphs after taking readings of demonstrations like gravitational force, pressure, distance based on angle of an inclined plane and surface. Students developed their scientific skills. They performed various types of calculation to get an accurate result. They plotted graph, presented them before the audience and answered various concerned questions asked by the judges.
Sarojini House got the first position, Leelawati & Kasturba House shared the second position. The month began on a jubilant note as the School won the prestigious International School Award (ISA) for the second consecutive term of four years. This award is given by the British Council for successfully achieving the aims of Internationalism and global citizenship. Ms. marvin Choudhary received it at a function in New Delhi.
Ma'am Marvin Choudhary attended a two-day conference at Hotel Claridges, New Delhi from 7th to 8th August, 2015 on UK Generation Pragramme. Mody School invited two foreign Teacher Assistants Ms. Stephie Wood and ms. Zoe Robson from the conference who will train our school children till December 2015. It is a part of the British Council's teacher- exchange programme. |
